Happy News Years!

What would possess me, you ask, to sit on a Greyhound bus for a total of 8 hours in less than 2 days when I'm about to hop back into La Fonda The Van and drive cross country for the next three months? Two words: Patrick O'Neill. My lil bro was having his first adult dinner party in his new swanky Borum Hill apartment (an apartment that I was supposed to be residing in with him until I got this tour!) and I had to, I repeat HAD TO be there. So, I dealt with the driving problem by agreeing to come right back the next day (New Years day...today in fact!) so I would have three full days to rest before hitting the road again.

I putzed around yesterday morning, met the new housemate, Siebe, from Holland, wrote down some things for him (cell phone companies, places he could get internet, etc) and finally mobolized myself to catch a cab. After a lovely talk with the cab driver (as always) I arrived at the station just in time to catch the 12pm bus, which put me into NYC at 4:15. I caught the 2 train to Atlantic Ave. and walked around the corner to Pat's delectable apartment. He met me at the door int he courtyard...that's right courtyard :)...and led me upstairs. I haven't seen my Pat in, well...let's just say it's been too long. It was GREAT to see him again.

My job was to light all the candles in the apartment...and there were a lot of them!

Pat makes chocolate mousse with such style. Look at that leg.

Best Friends reunited at last.

Miss Erin Graham was my New Years Kiss!!!

She got me right back!

This is a nice shot of Pat's beautiful apartment.

Glamorous. Taking out the trash from the party.

And random run-in in the city #2...Miss Laura Kutner...my freshman roomie from Catholic. Walkin down Conn. Ave...amazing. Love you, Laura.
