Des Moines, IA
We had a day off in Des Moines yesterday, on our way to Kansas. The tour of the off-broadway show, ALTAR BOYZ, a musical parody featuring a Catholic boy band, was playing at the smaller sister theater to the one we're performing at in February. We caught the matinee which was...hysterical. We laughed our asses off, the boys were great, very talented, and hilarious. After the show, we caught a few of them outside the theatre and let them know we were fellow tourers...we set up plans to meet later that night for a collision of the tours.
Before that, though, Shannon, Caitlin and I saw a hockey game at the Wells Fargo Arena....the Detroit Stars vs. the...honesly, I have no idea...is that bad? It was a blast :).
Here are a few pictures from our collision of the tours at the Royal Mile...a bar in Des Moines.
Happiness is: a day off.
Patty maaaaay have had a couple of drinks already...of apple juice of course!
Corey! Such a sweetheart and so talented.
Corey and Eric were getting to know Jack pretty well last night.
Corey and I liked this sign. Did we want to sit upstairs? naaaaah...but we wanted to stand under it, just for fun :).
Corey, me and Eric.
Hopefully when we come back in February, we'll be able to convince a few more of the guys to hang out with us (they were in the middle of a five show weekend)...but we'll have a 9:45 am show the next day...oh well, such is the price we pay for making new friends :).
