Appleton Cont'd--Party with the Locals!

We had a lovely 8am call at the Foxcities Performing Arts Center for a 9:30 show. This theater seats 2,100 and is only 3 years old...it's simply gorgeous! We immediately met Gerald, the stage manager of the theater...he's been on tour with Metallica and Tim McGraw, and runs the rock stage at a huge summer music fest in Milwaukee every year. Gerald hooked me up with a piano and a location for my audition video, which me and Santi taped after the show...went really well!

Here's a picture of the inside of the theater:

Gerald has created a bunch of colorful boards with Sharpee decorations and signatures from all the road companies that come through the theater. I love drawing, so I took one of our colorful programs from the Kennedy Center and replicated the picture on the board. It turned out great, and now Alexander will be remembered forever!

Gerald gave me a ton of beautifully colored Sharpees to color in the picture!

Turned out goooooood.

Later that night, Gerald gave some of us a ring and told us to meet him at the Speakeasy on the next block. We had a blast with our new friend and met some people that Gerald new who came in and out of the bar all night.

Thank you for such a fun time, Gerald!!!

Uh oh, the hoodie's on...I got made fun of a lot for this look.

Caitlin doesn't like it when I get up on chairs, for fear I may hurt myself...but if I do it reeeeally quickly, she doesn't catch me! And if there's really good music on...I just can't help it! (And Gerald is totally spotting me back there)

Shane, our bartender, had this awesome tattoo...Follow Your Dreams!

Shane--the best bartender in Appleton!
Look at those mugs. Red heads rule...
We are now in Eau Claire...still in Wisconsin, and I'm glad. This state has been lovely so far.
