The LBC has come and gone...Thousand Oaks, CA
Driving to Long Beach from San Luis Obispo on Route 1, better known as the Pacific Coastal Highway, in a convertable no less...this was an experience I'll never forget. I couldn't stop smiling the whole way. What a beautiful sight to behold for the two hour drive...and the smell of the ocean makes me feel so peaceful. Lunch in Malibu, and dancing on the beach were...delightful. A three hour nap (drooling included) was amazing. Dinner at Outback was delicious. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We had two shows on Sunday at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center on the campus of the California State University at Long Beach. It was a great venue and we had "meet and greet"s with the kids after the show. They set up tables outside where the kids could come up and get out autograph and pictures with us. The kids were wonderful...I wish we did these meet and greets after every show. It lifts my spirits and keeps me smiling endlessly. "Did you like the show?" "Yes, very a lot!" These kids were super.
The drive to Thousand Oaks last night was easy, and dinner at Bella Luna was perfect. Our first bottle of wine, not our only.
Today we have a day off...who knows what this will bring...a trip to LA? A trip to a mall? A lay by the pool? All I know is the Palm Garden Hotel of Thousand Oaks rocks my little tour girl world...This morning I had scrambled eggs with spinach, mushrooms, and cheese at their complimentary breakfast...don't take much to please me.
